Bored Apes, Mutant Apes continue bull run into 2022, as Eminem, Meek Mill, others ape in

  • 2022 started out with a bang. And it was all apes.
  • Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, plus Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Bored Ape Kennel Club, has hit a rare NFT trifecta.
  • Amazingly, the 3 hottest NFT collections in terms of sales volume in the past 24 hours were all from Yuga Labs. (Source: NFT-Stats)
  • On top of the sheer sales volume, big-name celebrities continue to “ape in” to Bored Ape Yacht Club. The past two days, rappers Eminem and Meek Mill both bought Bored Apes.
  • They join Snoop Dogg, DJ Khaled, Post Malone, Future, plus basketball players Lamelo Ball, Rudy Gobert, Josh Hart (also here), and Tyrese Halliburton. Oh, and Jimmy Fallon.
  • Remember that Eminem and Snoop Dogg are playing in the Super Bowl halftime show this year, along with Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. We should all expect the Bored Apes will make an appearance in the Super Bowl.
  • De-Collab licenses: One of the distinguishing features of Bored Ape/Mutant Ape NFTs is that they give full commercialization rights, including the right to make derivative works, to buyers.
