- There’s a lot going on in the world. But, if you haven’t been paying attention, the NFT world is on fire with a huge influx of investments in the digital art/assets. Last month may top $294M in trading.
- Take, for example, last week’s reported sale of Tyler Hobbs’ Fidenza #313. It sold for 0.58 ETH ($1,400) on June 11, 2021. And then, a little over a month later, it sold for 1,000 ETH. Yes, that translates into over $3.3 million. (You can see more of Hobbs’ works here and here.)
- And the NFT craze may just be beginning. Virtually anything and everything can be converted into an NFT. Just take a photo of whatever it is, upload it, and, hoila, it’s an NFT! That means anyone with a computer and access to the Internet can start creating and selling NFTs. Some creators will create more sophisticated art, while others will stick with simple art like an image of a rock. A recent rock NFT sold for $500,000!
- Some creators–perhaps many–will become instant millionaires, if the recent NFT sales are any indication of the future market for NFTs. While others won’t create NFTs, they will invest in them, hoping to strike it rich. The gold NFT rush is on!! Who’s in?
